Cake and event enquiries
Wedding cakes, birthday cakes, christenings, anniversaries and croquembouche. Every one of these is quoted by hand, so the more detail you give us now the faster we can come back with a real answer.
Wedding cakes
Tiered, naked, iced smooth or finished with fresh flowers. You choose the sponge, the filling, the finish and the number of tiers. Jean-Marc has been making wedding cakes for over forty years, in France, in London and here, and he quotes and makes every one himself.
Birthday and celebration cakes
Any size from a small one for the table to a slab that feeds a room, with a name or a message piped on. If you have seen something you like, send us the picture.
Croquembouche
Also written croque en bouche. A tower of choux buns filled by hand and bound in spun toffee, from thirty choux up to two hundred. Allow two to three choux per guest. It needs a week's notice at the very least, and the busy dates go early.
How it works
Nothing is paid here. You send the request, Jean-Marc looks at the date and what you are after, and he comes back with a price and confirms he can do it. Only then do you pay.
How long it takes
A croquembouche needs a week. Celebration and wedding cakes need as much notice as you can give us, and the busy dates go early. If your date is close, send the enquiry anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.
Allergies
Our kitchen handles wheat, eggs, dairy and nuts, so nothing is guaranteed free from traces. Tell us about any allergies in the room and we will tell you what we can and cannot do.
Trade and wholesale
If you are a cafe, restaurant or bakery looking for regular supply, the wholesale page is the right place to start instead.
